OPEN FESTIVAL

Due to our ever growing popularity we want to create a clear pathway for dancers to grow and gain experience through our festivals. We are now clearly splitting our Novice and Open festivals so that dancers new to competing can develop their talent before moving on and competing in a more advanced environment.

To align with the new BIFF scoring system, dancers must have a score of 84 (Commended) or below to be considered Novice. We are now introducing the rule that in order to progress to the Open festival dancers MUST have scored 85 or above in the section they are competing in. If we have space available we MAY look to open to Novice dancers but this will be at the festival discretion.

We are happy to accept entries from both dance schools and independent dancers, although we do request a Teacher Authorisation Form if you are entering as an individual.

Consent forms no longer need to be submitted as they are now part of the main entry form.

Please note - all entries must be submitted via the 'Play and Perform' platform, music will also need to be uploaded via this site. You will need to create a profile on your first visit in order to enter the festival. Please head to the website below and ensure you read the step by step guides to help you through the process.

Closing date for payment is Saturday 31 January 2026, entries will close as soon as we are full. Any entries received after this date will not be considered.
