Solent Dance Festival - 9 & 10 March 2024

Due to our ever growing popularity we want to create a clear pathway for dancers to grow and gain experience through our festivals. We are now clearly splitting our Novice and Open festivals so that dancers new to competing can develop their talent before moving on and competing in a more advanced environment.

As per the standard rules, dancers must have a score of 83 or below to be considered Novice. We are now introducing the rule that in order to progress to the Open festival dancers MUST have scored 84 or above in the section they are competing in.

We are happy to accept entries from both dance schools and independent dancers, although we do request a Teacher Authorisation Form if you are entering as an individual.

​

Consent forms no longer need to be submitted as they are now part of the main entry form.

Please note - we will be requiring ALL music to be supplied to us in digital format by the closing date of Sunday 4 February and suggest this is sent to us via in one bulk email (if possible) via Dropbox, OneDrive or WeTransfer (don't forget to give us permission to view the files!). Please ensure they are marked as follows:

Full Name - Age group - Section (please state dance school instead of Full Name if Group)

Closing date for entries, payment and music is Sunday 4 February. Any entries received after this date will not be considered. If the festival sells out prior to this date, payment and music will still be accepted up until close of business on the stated due date.
